Founder & Executive Producer Emily Weedon is proud to announce Big Kitten Pictures a creator-driven production company offering original live-action and animated content for film, television and media. The heart and soul of Big Kitten is great writing and development of worldclass IP across platforms.
Big Kitten’s has successfully secured first stage financing for Confidence Cat, an11 min. Adult Animation pilot.
CoCreator Willem Wennekers (Fugget About It, Doomsday Brothers) is “…one of the country's most experienced producers when it comes to adult cartoons.” Bubbleblabber.com, and CoCreator Weedon SaoPaolo Webfest award winning, CSA and WGC nominated writer and producer, Chateau Laurier, will shop their pilot to global streamers and broadcasters.
Confidence Cat follows the journey of hapless Debbie Bloop who struggles to adult in a complicated world, with the help of her consigliere, (er, support animal) “Confidence Cat”, a suit-wearing man-sized feline. The company is actively seeking completion financing and service production partnerships in order to move the pilot into production early 2022.
About Emily Weedon
Weedon builds her startup company on over 25 years of screenwriting and film production experience and film including two seasons of Chateau Laurier which she Co Created, CoProduced and CoWrote. Her forthcoming novel “Autocrator” with Cormorant Books in 2023 will also form part of the development slate. Weedon is recipient of Harold Greenberg Funding for development of feature 15 Kinds of Casual Sex and the NBC/Universal WIFT Feature Film Incubator. She worked as art director on Murdoch Mysteries, The Baroness Von Sketch Show, Malory Towers and on many other shows in various capacities.
